Parotid Duct Transposition
The parotid gland is one of the saliva glands. This gland is situated at the base of the ear and a duct (the parotid duct).
The parotid duct transposition is used for the treatment of dry eye.
Complications to this surgery include:
Calcium depositis on the cornea
Ocular surface irritation due to the alkalinicity of the saliva
