Fucithalmic®Vet

{short description of image}

Fucithalmic®Vet contains a carbomer and fucidic acid. Fucidic acid is a antibiotic that has a very narrow antibacterial action. Fucidic acid works excellent against staphylococcus bacteria (the main skin bacteria), and some streptococcus bacteria, but may have a very limited action against other bacteria. One of the main actions of Fucithalmic®Vet may be the carbomer, that lubricates the eye and causes the itching of the eye to stop. The pet stops rubbing the eye and a vicious circle has been broken.

Fucithalmic®vet is licensed for the treatment of dogs, cats and rabbits. I mainly use this ointment for the treatment of conjunctivitis in the dog, and simple corneal ulcers/erosions in the dog.
